Andrew Collier: From Ecosystem Accelerator To Boardroom Facilitator

Andrew Collier, renowned for his technological prowess, has arisen as a leading social entrepreneur in the Tampa Bay Area. Internationally known as “Champa Bay,” metro Tampa is now the epicenter for dynamic leaders who foster engagement through emerging startups, world-class innovation and nonprofit leadership. Both titans of industry as well as trusted global media outlets have voiced their opinions that Florida’s Innovation Ecosystem is the mecca of momentum.

Serial Social Impact

Collier’s main role as the Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Techstars-backed company, Kitchenery, has been a springboard to cross-industry connectivity. After half a decade of building in Tampa, Andrew took advantage of the collaborative ecosystem by joining multiple pillars of the community. “Unlike most cutthroat metro cities, Tampa has pioneered an empowering identity. If you give to the city, it will truly give back tenfold,” said Collier. On top of fundraising for his own revolutionary venture, Andrew is also on the board of Phoenix Portfolio Partners, The Social Enterprise Legacy Foundation, Champa Life™ and most recently has joined a fundraising committee for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

A Leader of Leaders

Andrew does much more than embody the traits of the moniker “serial entrepreneur” by having ownership stake in multiple for-profit and nonprofit entities, he also selflessly leverages his SME (subject matter expert) networks and healthcare passion to holistically integrate all ventures. For example, although the aforementioned businesses are in different sectors; technology, event fundraising, apparel and healthcare, he actively acts as a stakeholder facilitator to seamlessly dovetail shared resources, public relations, wellness programs and best practices. “Having Andrew as a business partner is like having a full advisory-board-as-a-service. His knack for brokering strategic partnerships and delivering the full lifecycle of thought leadership is a priceless asset,” says Ben Sever, CEO of Phoenix Portfolio Partners and Founder of Tampa’s Social Entrepreneur Summits.

Partnership Through Public Speaking

One of the premier movements in Tampa Bay is the bimonthly Social Entrepreneur Summit. According to Harvard Business School, social entrepreneurship/social enterprise is, “The application of innovative business practices and managerial disciplines to drive sustained, high-impact social change. An ideal social enterprise engages with the nonprofit, for-profit, and public sectors to generate and share resources, tools, and knowledge. It’s grounded in the mission to educate, inspire, and support leaders across all sectors to tackle society’s toughest challenges and make a difference in the world.” Every eight weeks, Andrew partners with Tampa’s leading CEOs, executives, innovators, philanthropists, students and community leaders to share insight, fundraise and illuminate the city’s brightest minds!
